T.I.M.E. Annual Conference 2025

Between October 1–4, 2025, the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest participated in the T.I.M.E. Annual Conference 2025, hosted by the Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology (LUT) in Finland.

The event brought together representatives of leading technical universities from around the world, offering a dynamic platform for dialogue on the future of engineering education in the context of global challenges and digital transformation.

The university was represented by:

• Prof. Ioan Sacală, Faculty of Automatics and Computer Science and President of the PRECIS Research Institute

• Ms. Ioana Negoiță, International Relations Department

Their participation highlighted the university’s strategic engagement within the T.I.M.E.  network and its commitment to advancing high-quality international engineering education.

Key Themes and Discussions

This year’s conference focused on pivotal themes shaping the future of higher education, including:

• - Artificial Intelligence and Industry 5.0

• - Diversity and inclusion in STEM

• - Sustainability and global responsibility

Through plenary sessions, workshops, and networking events, participants shared best practices and explored innovative approaches to international collaboration in technical education.

During the event, the POLITEHNICA Bucharest delegation held meetings with T.I.M.E. member universities to initiate new double-degree agreements and strengthen existing partnerships. These discussions are set to further enhance international mobility, foster joint research, and broaden academic opportunities for students and staff across the network.
