POLITEHNICA Bucharest Students Achieve Outstanding Results at the 4th EELISA Scientific Student Competition

Students from POLITEHNICA Bucharest achieved outstanding results at the 4th EELISA Scientific Student Competition, held on 21–22 May 2026 at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

The POLITEHNICA Bucharest delegation received an impressive number of awards across the competition:

  • 6 First Prizes – Andreea Popescu, Maria-Izabela Rădoi, George Pâslaru, Ștefan Ursache, Cătălin-Constantin Chelmuș and Victoria-Elena Plopeanu
  • 3 Second Prizes – Nicolae Bodunu, Eremia Răzvan and Ivan Mihai
  • 3 Third Prizes – Paul Octavian Căbuz, Ana Maria Apostol and Mihaela-Aurelia Andrei
  • 4 Special Awards – Isabela Lazar, Theodora-Alexandra Pisău, Gheorghe Dragoș Șerban and Ioana Rasuceanu
  • Several Honourable Mentions

These results highlight the quality and dedication of POLITEHNICA Bucharest students and reflect the university’s commitment to research excellence, innovation and international academic collaboration within the EELISA European University Alliance.

The competition also provided an important opportunity for students to present their research, exchange ideas with peers from partner universities and strengthen their engagement with the international academic community.
