POLITEHNICA Bucharest Represents Romanian Education and Research at Romanian Digital Day

POLITEHNICA Bucharest was represented at the 4th edition of Romanian Digital Day, held at the European Parliament in Brussels, bringing together European and national policymakers, technology leaders and experts to discuss the future of digital competitiveness and innovation in Europe.

This year's edition focused on the theme “From Policies to Practice: Accelerating EU Digital Competitiveness and Innovation”, addressing the transformations shaping Europe's digital priorities and its ambition to remain competitive, innovative and strategically autonomous.

During the discussions, POLITEHNICA Bucharest highlighted the importance of ensuring that the future Multiannual Financial Framework 2028–2034 provides strong support for innovation, digital infrastructure and cybersecurity. Particular emphasis was placed on investment in human capital, including the development of advanced digital skills and the preparation of young people for emerging technologies and the evolving needs of industry.

The event also underlined the importance of strengthening the links between universities, research and development, industry, entrepreneurship and strategic funding instruments. Such cooperation is essential for translating European digital ambitions into practical solutions and supporting a competitive and innovative European ecosystem.

Through its participation, POLITEHNICA Bucharest reaffirmed its commitment to contributing to European discussions on digital transformation, research, innovation and the development of the skills needed for the technologies of the future.
