POLITEHNICA Bucharest participates in conference marking 120 years of Romania–Egypt diplomatic relations

As Romania and Egypt mark 120 years of diplomatic relations, the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest took part in a series of initiatives promoting Romania and strengthening academic cooperation between the two countries, with the support of the Embassy of Romania in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

At the invitation of the Embassy, POLITEHNICA Bucharest participated in the conference “New Horizons: Academic Cooperation between Romania and Egypt”, held in Cairo as part of the Cairo International Book Fair. The university was represented by Professor Ioan Sacală, President of the PRECIS Research Center.

The event brought together academics and representatives of higher education institutions from Romania and Egypt to discuss new directions for cooperation in education and research. Discussions focused on key areas including the internationalization of higher education, digitalization and artificial intelligence, sustainable academic mobility, and the development of joint research initiatives.

The conference provided an important platform for exchanging ideas and identifying new opportunities for collaboration between academic communities in Romania and Egypt.

POLITEHNICA Bucharest extends its appreciation to Her Excellency Mrs. Olivia Toderean, Ambassador of Romania to Egypt, for her support in promoting academic cooperation and strengthening the longstanding relationship between the two countries.

The university remains committed to developing international partnerships and creating new opportunities for cooperation in education, research, innovation and academic mobility.
