POLITEHNICA Bucharest Inaugurates Advanced Anti-Drone and Telecommunications Laboratory
POLITEHNICA Bucharest has inaugurated a new state-of-the-art laboratory dedicated to the development of anti-drone technologies and advanced telecommunications systems, within the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology (ETTI).
The new laboratory was established in strategic partnership with BlueSpace Technology Romania, a Romanian technology company, and will provide an applied research and education environment where students and researchers can work on emerging technologies for security and defence applications.
The laboratory will support the development of advanced systems for drone detection and countermeasures, including solutions based on Artificial Intelligence, telecommunications and other emerging technologies.
Beyond its educational role, the facility is designed to strengthen the connection between academic research and industrial innovation, creating opportunities for technologies developed within the university to progress from research and prototyping towards practical applications and production.
The initiative reflects POLITEHNICA Bucharest's commitment to developing advanced technological capabilities in Romania and contributing to European security and technological resilience through research, innovation and highly skilled graduates.
Through this new laboratory, the university further strengthens its role as a partner for industry and as a contributor to the development of innovative technologies with strategic applications.
