POLITEHNICA Bucharest awards the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to Professor Guillermo Cisneros Pérez
The National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest awarded the academic title of Doctor Honoris Causa to Professor Guillermo Cisneros Pérez, Rector of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, during an official ceremony held in the Senate Hall of the Rectorate.
The distinction recognizes Professor Cisneros Pérez’s outstanding contribution to the fields of telecommunications, multimedia systems and engineering education, as well as his sustained efforts to promote academic excellence and international cooperation.
Throughout his academic and professional career, Professor Guillermo Cisneros Pérez has played an important role in the development of telecommunications and engineering education, contributing to the advancement of research, innovation and higher education.
The ceremony also celebrated the strong and longstanding academic partnership between POLITEHNICA Bucharest and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Both institutions are founding members of EELISA – European Engineering, Learning, Innovation and Science Alliance, a European university alliance dedicated to developing a new generation of engineers and fostering cooperation in education, research and innovation.
The awarding of the Doctor Honoris Causa title represents an important recognition of Professor Cisneros Pérez’s academic achievements and further strengthens the close ties between the two institutions and their shared commitment to international academic cooperation.
