POLI InternationalFEST 2026 Strengthens International Academic Cooperation
The second edition of POLI InternationalFEST, organized by the Faculty of Engineering in Foreign Languages at POLITEHNICA Bucharest, in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia in Bucharest, brought together members of the diplomatic corps, international organizations, universities, cultural institutions, students and private-sector partners for two days of intercultural dialogue and academic exchange.
Held on 14–15 May 2026, the festival transformed the POLITEHNICA Bucharest campus into a vibrant space for international collaboration, bringing together education, technology, culture and innovation.
More than 30 members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of international organizations, cultural institutes, partner universities and private companies participated in the event, presenting educational opportunities, international initiatives and areas for future cooperation.
A major highlight was the participation of a delegation representing 12 Tunisian universities, including rectors, vice-rectors and deans, alongside representatives from Tunisia's digital economy, tourism and cultural sectors. The delegation's visit provided an opportunity to strengthen academic connections between Romania and Tunisia and explore new areas of collaboration.
The programme included academic discussions, workshops and the signing of cooperation agreements between Romanian and Tunisian universities. Discussions focused on developing joint academic and research projects, expanding Erasmus+ mobility opportunities, and strengthening scholarship and exchange opportunities for students and researchers.
The festival also featured a student parade, cultural exhibitions, technology showcases and activities involving embassies, cultural institutes, universities and private-sector partners, highlighting the diversity and international character of the POLITEHNICA community.
POLI InternationalFEST 2026 demonstrated the important role of higher education in building bridges between cultures and creating lasting international partnerships.
POLITEHNICA Bucharest extends its appreciation to H.E. Valentin-Ciprian Muntean, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Republic of Tunisia, H.E. Sami Nagga, Ambassador of Tunisia to Romania, and Mr. Mondher Belaid, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Tunisia, for their support and contribution to this year's edition.
