ATHENS Week – March 2026 Edition at POLITEHNICA Bucharest
The 11th edition of ATHENS Week took place from 13 to 20 March 2026, bringing together students from across Europe for a week of academic courses and international activities at POLITEHNICA Bucharest.
Since the beginning of the ATHENS programme, more than 1,000 international students have attended courses organized by POLITEHNICA Bucharest, while almost 550 POLITEHNICA students have participated in courses offered by ATHENS partner universities. More than 100 students have also taken part in ATHENS Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) courses.
During the March edition, 56 courses were offered across the ATHENS network, including five Erasmus Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs). POLITEHNICA Bucharest contributed four courses delivered by the Faculty of Medical Engineering, the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers, and the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Robotics, including one BIP.
The programme was also supported by a dedicated team of student volunteers, coordinated by Rene Akin and Elena Stratulat from the Faculty of Medical Engineering. Their efforts contributed to creating a welcoming and dynamic environment for international students, particularly through the European Dimension Activities (EDA).
The next ATHENS Week at POLITEHNICA Bucharest will take place from 15 to 21 November 2026.
