Applications Open for the Clean Cities Spain ClimAccelerator 2026

Applications are now open for the Clean Cities Spain ClimAccelerator 2026, an initiative led by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, with the support of Climate KIC, aimed at identifying and supporting innovative startups developing solutions for the cities of the future.

The programme is open to EU-based startups incorporated within the last five years, with a focus on solutions that contribute to more sustainable, resilient and innovative urban environments.

Areas of focus

The programme is seeking innovative solutions in five key areas:

1. Community Retrofit & District Renewal
2. Green Spaces & Climate Resilience
3. Mobility, Logistics & Public Space
4. Renewable Energy Systems
5. Information & Data Systems

What does the programme offer?

Selected startups will have the opportunity to benefit from:

• access to a network of key stakeholders from city administrations, corporations and investment communities;
• mentoring from leading experts and stakeholders;
• training sessions with international speakers specializing in business and sustainability;
• access to the Climate KIC ecosystem;
• increased visibility through marketing and individualized communication activities.

The initiative provides startups with an opportunity to develop their solutions, connect with relevant stakeholders and contribute to the transformation of European cities through innovation and sustainability.
