Circular City Hackathon: Data-Driven Urban Mapping

The EELISA Circular Cities Hackathon brings together students to explore how data-driven approaches, urban informatics and geospatial technologies can support the transition towards more circular, sustainable and adaptive cities.

The initiative combines a virtual learning phase, featuring seminars on urban informatics, circular city planning, geospatial data analysis and sustainability frameworks, with an intensive three-day on-site hackathon in Istanbul.

During the hackathon, students will work with real-world data, big data analytics and GIS mapping to identify and explore circular production and consumption loops within the urban context of Istanbul.

Participation and travel costs are covered for students from EELISA partner universities, within the available EELISA budget.
