Africa Day 2025 Celebration
POLITEHNICA Bucharest hosted the Africa Day 2025 celebration, organized by the Group of African Ambassadors and Heads of Mission accredited to Bucharest. The event united ambassadors, diplomats, Romanian officials, representatives of Francophone organizations, and the private sector.
For over six decades, the university has welcomed students from nearly every African country. These students make significant contributions to the intellectual and cultural life of POLITEHNICA, helping to strengthen ties between Romania and African nations.
H.E. Mr. Hassan Abouyoub, Dean of the Group and Ambassador of Morocco, emphasized the importance of student mobility and intercultural exchange in fostering long-term collaboration.
About Africa Day: Celebrated annually on May 25, it commemorates the founding of the Organisation of African Unity in 1963, the precursor to today’s African Union, marking decades of continental collaboration and peace-building.
POLITEHNICA Bucharest continues to champion intercultural dialogue, academic excellence, and partnerships with African nations.
