Between 21-24 August 2021, University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest hosted the largest francophone event in the field of education and research ever organized in Romania, Semaine de la Francophonie Scientifique de l'Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie.!

Representatives of over a thousand universities, representatives of French embassies and organizations, partners and special guests such as ministers of education from French-speaking countries, representatives of the Presidential Administration and the Romanian Government, representatives of the European Commission and experts from around the world were with us. , in Romania, under the dome of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest. It is an event that will become a world tradition - and one that the world will know started in Romania.

Semaine de la Francophonie Scientifique de l'Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie included the AUF General Assembly, the Presentation of the first White Paper on Scientific Francophonie, the Conference of Ministers of Higher Education and Research, the Special Workshop on Romania, the 60th Anniversary of the AUF, social events and many other events.

We have extended the scholarship program "UPB Excellence Scholarship" - through which we attract foreign students to Romania. We continue the “Eugen Ionescu” scholarship program, financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through which Romania has granted, from 2007 until now, a number of over 900 scholarships for researchers from 39 countries.
