Final Conference of the Project "Education 4.0: Living Labs for the Students of the Future (LLSF)"

Education 4.0: Transforming Learning Through Digital Innovation – Final Conference at POLITEHNICA Bucharest

The National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest hosted the final conference of the "Education 4.0: Living Labs for the Students of the Future (LLSF)" project, marking the successful conclusion of a pioneering initiative in digital education and smart learning environments.

Funded under the ERASMUS+ program and implemented between 2021 and 2024, the project aimed to reshape the future of ICT education by establishing a network of intelligent, interconnected digital laboratories. These laboratories serve as innovative educational platforms integrating Big Data, the Internet of Things (IoT), and other cutting-edge digital tools to enhance both learning and research experiences.

A Collaborative International Effort

The Education 4.0: Living Labs for the Students of the Future project was led by POLITEHNICA Bucharest in collaboration with four prestigious European universities:

- Tel Aviv University (Israel)

- Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (Spain)

- Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (Portugal)

- Università Politecnica delle Marche (Italy)

This partnership brought together expertise from various academic and technological fields to design an interactive and immersive learning ecosystem that prepares students for the evolving challenges of the digital age.

Living Labs

The Living Labs developed through this project are designed to be more than just traditional learning spaces. They function as intelligent, flexible environments that support:

- Real-time data analysis and simulations, allowing students to work with actual industry-level datasets.

- Internet of Things (IoT) integration, enabling smart connectivity between devices and applications in various fields.

- Hands-on experimentation with cutting-edge digital technologies, bridging the gap between theory and practical application.

- Collaborative learning models, fostering teamwork between students, educators, and industry professionals.

By incorporating these elements, the project enhances students' technical skills, critical thinking abilities, and adaptability to modern technological advancements.
