Politehnica University of Bucharest Awards the Title of Doctor Honoris Causa to Her Excellency Laurence Auer

Today, Politehnica University of Bucharest conferred the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to Her Excellency Laurence Auer, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the French Republic to the Hellenic Republic and former Ambassador of the French Republic to Romania during the period 2020–2023.

During her mission in Romania, Her Excellency made a remarkable contribution to promoting education, the French language, and the values of Francophonie. She also supported economic and educational partnerships between France and Romania.

Her Excellency played a significant role in advancing key university projects, such as the establishment of the House of Francophonie in Romania—the second project of its kind in the world, dedicated to young students and researchers—and in promoting academic and cultural initiatives essential to our community.

Today, Politehnica University of Bucharest celebrated these outstanding achievements by awarding its highest academic distinction.
