Advanced Cybersecurity

Description

The "Advanced Cybersecurity" (AC) master's program trains experts in cybersecurity, focusing on engineering skills for identifying vulnerabilities, risks, and cyber threats, and scientific skills for conducting research at the European level. It emphasizes professional autonomy, social interaction, and transversal skills for careers in academia and the IT&C industry. The program addresses advanced data encryption, tools and methods for cyberattack detection and management, and principles of organizational cybersecurity. Students also learn to integrate cybersecurity into complex systems, such as critical infrastructures, ensuring national security in interconnected systems at local, national, and regional levels.

Other Information

The AC master program will provision students with advanced techniques for the prevention and detection of cyberattacks, security audits and implementation of information security management systems. In this context, students have the opportunity to research specialized methods of in-depth analysis (forensics), using dedicated equipment and tools. Students in this master's program will interpret the impact of various types of attacks on integrated information systems (computers, smart devices, communications networks, etc.) by developing their own monitoring, detection and response tools or by integrating various existing applications.

A major area of research for the AC master program is the creation of applications for monitoring and detecting possible anomalies in integrated information systems. This category includes the creation of new applications that ensure security and safety up to the service level. Given the rapid evolution of online services, online access and personal user devices, the program prepares students to identify new challenges, finding the right methods and tools for solving, analysing and improving the performance of these complex systems.
