Applying to POLITEHNICA Bucharest

Candidates from EU countries, excluding Romania, must validate their diplomas through the Romanian National Centre for Recognition and Validation of Diplomas (CNRED). Law 316/12.07.2006 grants EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens equal financial access to Romanian education. Once validated, applicants can apply at our university. Romanian diploma holders skip validation. The admission process for citizens from non-EU countries is performed according to the university Methodology for accepting to studies and schooling foreign citizens from non-EU states, that are not part of the European Economic Space and from the Helvetic Confederation. The registration process will take place online, on the platform apply.upb.ro.

POLITEHICA Bucharest provides international students the opportunity to learn Romanian for academic pursuits. The course covers technical, economic, medical, and philological domains. Non-EU and Romanian students lacking language certificates must enroll in the Romanian Language Preparatory Year via apply.upb.ro.

Join POLITEHNICA Bucharest's Preparatory Year of German Language, offered by the Faculty of Engineering in Foreign Languages (FILS). This program is open and free for all EU citizens. Pass the admission exam and commit to pursuing your Bachelor or Master studies in German at our university.

International student transfers require compliance with immigration, academic, and administrative procedures for seamless transitions.
