The 1st International Conference of the Eelisa - European University - Becoming the engine that leads to a new future - took place between October 4th and 6th on the campus of the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest (NUSTPB).
The event brought together a series of special guests from the European Commission, Ministry of Universities of Spain, Romanian Ministry of Education and Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digitalization, Romanian National Commission for UNESCO, Rectors, academia, representatives of public administrations from Romania and abroad, as well as representatives of international university associations involved in the development of European educational policies.
The conference program offered its nearly 300 participants an exceptionally wide range of activities, including 27 workshops, two high-level plenary sessions, exhibitions, film screenings, over 100 speakers from the international community, and numerous social activities. These encompassed topics such as the new European engineering model, the university of the future, innovative pedagogies, entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as fostering sustainable cooperation and promoting gender equality and inclusion.
The event also included the meeting of the Alliance's Board of Directors, which focused on the challenges to be faced during the next phase of the alliance's development.
