On 13 december, 2021, UPB Rector, Mr. Mihnea Costoiu received the visit of Her Excellency, Mrs. Safiya Ahmad NUHU, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Romania.
 
During the meeting, both representatives explored opportunities of collaboration for Nigerian students.
 
 
On 7 December, 2021, took place online the seventh CESAER Board of Directors.
 
During the meeting, UPB Rector, Mr. Mihnea Costoiu, was re-elected Vice-president of the organization for a second term.
 
Also, as a result of the CESAER General Assembly this autumn, UPB maintains its position in the Board of Directors.
 
 
UPB Rector, Mr. Mihnea Costoiu participated in the Task Force Learning and Teaching of CESAER (Conference of European Schools of Advanced Engineering Education and Research).
 
During the meeting we discussed the contribution of CESAER in creating the policies published by the European Commission, such as the European Universities Initiative or the future of the European Education Area (EEA), but also the objectives of the Working Group for 2022-2023 and the expectations of universities for the post- COVID.
 
 
University Politehnica of Bucharest launched the National Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence. It is an initiative that meets a constantly growing field and through which we aim to study and develop reliable, secure and human-centered Artificial Intelligence systems.

In the long run, the aim is to develop applications in areas such as cybersecurity, robotics, chemistry and others, but also in eHealth, where it can better analyze the relationship between prevention or treatment techniques and the results they have on patients.

The International Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence was organized in partnership with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" in Bucharest, the National University of Theater and Cinematography "I.L. Caragiale ”, the Technical University of Moldova - under the patronage of the National Commission of Romania for UNESCO.

 
 
 
University Politehnica of Bucharest - through the Faculty of Entrepreneurship, Engineering and Business Management - in partnership with the Institute of Economic Forecasting (IPE) of the Romanian Academy, inaugurated today the National Center for Economic Diplomacy, Negotiation and Entrepreneurship (CNDENA).
 
Through this initiative, the partners will build a platform for cooperation in the fields of international trade, economic diplomacy and business.
 
 
UPB's accession to the Erasmus Without Paper network in 2018, respectively the connection of the university's digital infrastructure to the new tools and technologies of the European Commission is an important step in the management of digital mobility management.
 
🔹 The ERASMUS + App - offers students the European Student Card, which allows them access to the educational and cultural services and offers of the partner universities.
 
🔹 ERASMUS + DASHBOARD platform - offers to universities easy management of administrative activities related to mobility.
