ERASMUS+ OPEN DOORS
On March 09, Universiry POLITEHNICA of Bucharest organized a webinar to present the ERASMUS+ program for the incoming students. Mr. Mihnea Costoiu, the UPB Rector together with H.E. Mrs. Laurence Auer, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Romania, H.E. Mrs. Füsun Aramaz, the Ambassador of Turkey to Romania, Mr. Pablo Diez, Education Counsellor of the Embassy of Spain in Romania and Gabriel Jiga, Erasmus Institutional Coordinator has addressed the students and emphasized the benefits of student mobility and the importance of multicultural awareness.

The Department of International Relations organized a webinar to present the Erasmus+ program and the Double Degree program for the outgoing students. We had a large number of participants from the UPB academic community interested in our mobility programs.

A peek into the UPB study programs
Between the 1st and the 5th of March, The Department of International Relations organized webinars with the support of the academic staff to present the programs in foreign language. We had participants from international universities interested in our Master programs, but also Romanian high school pupils who want to join a foreign language bachelor program. It was the 1st information webinar out of a session of 3 such activities, and we were glad to see a large number of participants, future members of UPB’s academic community.

COLLABORATION WITH FOREIGN EMBASSIES

The current situation generated by the Coronavirus crisis requires of us to rethink and reimagine universities and their role in society. Universities should reposition themselves more strongly and visibly as key drivers and agents of change.
In this context, Mr. Mihnea Costoiu, UPB Rector, has had several meetings with the diplomatic representatives of France, H.E. Mrs. Laurence Auer, Ambassador of the French Republic to Romania, H.E. Mr. Hiroshi Ueda, Ambassador of Japan to Romania and H.E. Mrs. Ingrid Kressel Vinciguerra, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to Romania.

UPB Rector, Mr. Mihnea Costoiu, has received a courtesy visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of Pakistan to Romania, Mr. Zafar Iqbal. The discussions were focused on enhancing cooperation between the University Politehnica of Bucharest and the most representative HE institutions in Pakistan.

AUF - Europe centrale et oriental and University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest launched the 1st edition of the Call for Applications - “Petrache Poenaru” Doctoral Research Fellowships.
The scholarship program offers doctoral students enrolled in AUF ECO member universities the opportunity to benefit from research stays at POLITEHNICA University in Bucharest.

⏰ The duration of the research internship: 12 months

Preparatory Year - Romanian Language at UPB
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| |
This study program is aimed at foreign students who do not speak Romanian and wish to participate in undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
The course lasts an academic year (two semesters). After passing the exams in all studied disciplines, at the end of the preparatory year the students receive a graduation certificate, necessary to apply for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Romania.
