The University of Novi Sad in Serbia was the host of the 4th international conference with universities from China and Central and Eastern Europe. The event ranks among the most important occasions for international cooperation in the higher education field.
Mr. Costoiu was invited as guest speaker at the conference as well as moderator for the session Collaboration & Innovation to Cultivate Talents with Applied Skills for B&R Construction. 
The UPB Rector presented the paper Building genuine international talent and he spoke about the cooperation between European and Asian universities, he presented solutions regarding the development of bilateral relations, emphasizing the necessity of considering the needs and interests of international students. His speech tackled the perspectives regarding the initiation of certain research projects. 
The conference was attended by Mr. Mladen Šarčević, the Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Du Zhanyuan, Vice-Minister of Education, People’s Republic of China, Mr. Miloš Vučević, the Mayor of Novi Sad.
The delegations from Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca and Ovidius University in Constanța, together with representatives from the Chinese and European universities and international Chinese and European associations were also present at the conference.
